Curls, Curls, Curls

Just wanted to post some pics of my curls. I haven't attempted to curl my hair in a very long time due to the length, thickness, and time that it consumes. It was worth it; I think it came out great! I used the soft spikes curlers; however, I have run out of space as my hair has grown a lot since I last curled it! Oh, BTW, I finally ordered a shower cap from http://stores.soclocsock.com/StoreFront.bok made specifically for long locks! Yay!!!! I am so tired of having to wear two caps just to cover my hair in the shower. I will let everyone know my thoughts on it once I receive it.

Your locks are so beautiful. Do you mind sharing with some of us newbies what your current routine is for your locks and what you did when they were babies like mine?(I have 7 month old locks) Thanks for all the inspiration that you give.

Felicia,

At this point in my journey, I really don't have a rigorous lock care routine. I still take a daily multivitamin. I wash my hair on average about every 2 weeks; depending on the weather or amount of styling products I may have used on my hair. Because of my length, I normally will put my hair in box braids and let it air dry; thus, creating the crinkly style I often wear. At night, I wear a locsoc to extend my style and to keep lint and dust out. The only products I use on my hair are oil sheen, occasional hot oil treatments or hair grease around my edges (I have dry scalp). When I do curl it; I will add styling mousse to make the curls last longer.

Thanks for sharing and reminding me once again of the simplicity of sisterlocks!

Hi Moniqa,

Your Locks are Georgous and so are you! But I wanted to ask you what is the name of the place, city and state that you got your eyebrows done because they are perfection and I considering gettin mine done...also what color did they use for your brows? And my last question is where did you purchase your loc soc and is it cotton or silk/satin?

Thank you for the compliment. I go to Skin Deep in Harker Heights, TX to get my eyebrows done. For some odd reason, my skin does not retain the ink for too long; so I get touch ups about once a year. In between times, I still use an eyebrow pencil. For the loc soc; go to http://www.lockscrunchie.com/
