I've been working out these past two months (gotta keep up with you young folk) and really needed something that would be kept out of my face and off of the back of my neck.
Guess who's back in school? Yep, I did it. I going for my second master's degree with plans to pursue both the Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification. I need many prayers and kudos; as it will be out of my pocket and hard to climb back on the horse!!!! Muuuuaaah-I love my Sisterlocks and my chosen family!
Oh girl that is waaay too cute! When you get time let us know how you accomplished it!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty! Your hair looks great! I love the style and can't wait until I can do some things.. that will be a while. My second set.... long story. Keep experimenting!
ReplyDeleteMy for sisters who want to know how I created this lovely style...it's super easy! All you have to do is tie the crown back, while freely leaving sides and back to hang. Next, grab locks on one side and cross over the crown. Secure the ends with a clip. Repeat the same step on the other side. Finally, pull the remaining back up to meet the crown of your hair. It should result in a hanging ponytail. That's it! It took me less than 10minutes to create.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very pretty styoe!
ReplyDeleteHair and make up looks nice, Very Nice! ;)
ReplyDeletetake care~
Hi Monica,
ReplyDeleteLove the style! Please let us know how you did it.
I will be sisterloc'd soon! (Waiting for my consultant to schedule the locking sessions.)
Do you have any suggestions for a Sisterlock survival kit? Other than the official Sisterlock starter kit/products, what products do you wish you had on hand when you were first loc'd (e.g., SoftSpikes, microfiber towel, rods, styling products)? Please let me know.
I want to be prepared for proper styling and maintenance immediately after my locking sessions.
Thanks,
MeDivine
Your hair is too cute!
ReplyDeleteoohh, practical AND stylish! NICE
ReplyDelete*Gasp* I want to try this style. Is it just a basic ponytail and then you crossed the front over and pinned it down?
ReplyDeletefabulous. i have to try it.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you on the masters program. i will keep you in my prayers and best wishes. Ironically, lately I have been styling my hair very similar to that. I love the style on YOU! It's very neat just like your Sisterlocks. Cute!
ReplyDeleteLove love love that updo. You are looking great and so are your locks and congrats on your locversary.
ReplyDeleteLove the look! I will have to give it a try. Congrats on going back to school. I am contemplating doing the same. Not sure if I want to move first. I will keep you lifted in prayer for much success.
ReplyDeleteI love your locks in that style, it's very cute.
ReplyDeleteThis style helped save me in my last minute venture for an up-do style for a friend's wedding 2 weeks ago. Thank you so much for posting your 'accidental beauty' and here is the post where I mentioned your blog in Np's lock forum (if that's ok): http://www.nappturality.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=120992
ReplyDeleteCongrats on going back to school. I am also pursuing my second Masters Degree in Organizational Pychology. I really enjoyed looking at your updo photos they made me want to experiment more with my locs.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant hair style, reminds me of an ex who simply adored it when I put my hair up.....used to go on about the nape of my neck! I had my sample locs put in yesterday & in less than 3 weeks I'll be getting the full works.
